.: welcome to our site

Fraila offers a variety of hand-crafted bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and belts. All of the jewelry is made from Costa Rican hardwoods, including:

Cocobolo: Any of certain trees of the genus Dahlbergia in the pea family, especially D. retusa of Central America and Mexico. Known to change color after being cut, this wood is deep orange-red with black streaking or mottling.

Rosewood: Comprising any tropical or semitropical leguminous trees of the genera Tipuana, Pterocarpus, or Dalbergia. Its color is reddish or dark with a strongly marked grain.

Purple Heart: A genus of 23 species of flowering plants in the family Fabaceae, native to tropical regions of Central and South America. When cut, the wood quickly turns from a dark brown to a rich purple.

Mora: A bright yellow wood that turns golden yellow when dry. It can change upon exposure to brown or russet with a hint of red.

Guanacaste: A large evergreen or briefly deciduous canopy tree found along the coasts of Central America and on certain Caribbean islands. It has brown wood, often with a reddish tinge.
